Thank you from Maple View. We are so fortunate to live in such a giving community. Because of your generosity, we were able to donate $30,000 to the Salvation Army to assist the distraught people in the Deep South. We could not have imagined the response that you gave us on Labor Day.
A special thank you to all the volunteers who scooped and twirled in organized confusion all day.
This email is being sent first to Deborah Pearson-Moyers. She is the one who sent the first email about our plan last week. We are so grateful for her list of connections and to all of you who passed it on.
Thank you to Hazel Cheek (farming neighbor) for a huge tray of fruit and cookies that she brought to our volunteers.
A little more product than we planned for left our store on Monday. When you come in over the next couple of weeks and you do not see your favorite flavor, please select another. We are working diligently to build up our inventories, but until then please be patient.
The Maple View hat is off to Allison Nichols who was in the Carrboro location. At 10:30 p.m. she could see that there was no way she was going to have enough ice cream to serve the never-ending line. So, she suggested that they buy gift certificates. People made their donation and can come back to any of the Maple View locations and redeem their gift certificates.
Once again thank you to all of you.
